covenanting with nations

             Dear partner in the great harvest,

          Many times as a crusade minister and a missionary, I felt I was taking God to places, but upon arriving in those cities and nations I always found to my shock and surprise that the Lord was already present when I arrived, Praise God it was not I that took HIM place but it was He that took me places, and that was a humbling experience . Did HE not say,"I am going ahead of you to prepare the way for you .

          The only way we are going to be successful in the ministry is by having a right attitude.  It is not ' we building His church', it is 'He who is the Master builder, for He said ' I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it

           Therefore we need to come under the mighty hand of God and be ready to become laborers in His field, He will not only build His church, but He will also allow us to co labor and He will also give us the wages and the rewards . Then what do we need to do.

I.  Pray unto the Lord of harvest that He will send laborers into His fields

2.  Ask Him for the later rains, that will get crop ready for harvesting.

3 Be ready to do whatever He tells you (remember Mary's words to the servants just before

             Jesus performed the first miracle) some times He might ask you to go to missions, other times He might ask you to give of your finances for the extension of His work, yet at other times He might ask you to weep in His presence for souls and for personal sanctification .All these put together will make you to inherit the blessings of God

4.  Join hands with those ministering in the 10/40 window and 3rd world nations in Godly partnership to bring souls to the Lord. Do not go there as Lord's over the Lords heritage, rather as partners and co-workers, as the work of Evangelism is bigger than us . When you are sincere, God will show you genuine and indigenous mission works. May the lord bless you in the final hour of world harvest.

2. Indian U.K.Special,

         Dear Partner in the Great Harvest,

                 Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are all fine by the grace of God and hope the same for you. We just returned from a trip to England and India, where we experienced the Sovereign move of God.

                 On the 4th of July'98, we left for England. The meetings were held primarily in the Silverstreet Church in Rochdale, Lacs. The Spirit of the Lord moved so powerfully, healing and saving many lives. Supernatural healings and miracles were seen, the youth were specially anointed in a powerful way.

                 Suddenly the fire of the Holy Spirit fell upon the youth. They began to weep and get so filled with the Holy Spirit, that great joy fell upon the whole church. In another church a lady that had been in an accident, and paralyzed neck down to the waist, was instantly healed, and was able to use her hands again, how she worshipped the Lord. Several others with hearing and speech impediments were made whole. The presence of God was so real that many committed their lives to the Lord.

               In London the Lord helped us with visas etc., we remain very thankful to Pastor Ian Wight and Sis. Margaret, Bro. Edward and Merlin Ahmad, Norris and Mavis Backhouse and others of the Silverstreet Church, who were a great blessing to us. It was also a joy to minister in the Church of Pastor Lex Thakur, meet the Gill's and the Booths and to know their concern of the Children's Home in India.

               We reached Bombay on the 15th of July, and went straight to the Special meetings arranged by Pastor Jayant Davare in Pune. Every night about 600 people filled the Oldham Methodist Church and inspite the rain, the building was packed with people. The anointing was so rich, one night I could not even preach, as the worship began demons began to manifest and had to be cast out of the precious people.

               Many awesome healings took place. It was just like the day of Pentecost. Some people saw visions of Christ all the time. A young man Vikas approached me.'Do you know me'? He asked,His face was familiar I thought. Then he said" Bro. Stephen, last time you came to Pune, I had come to watch you, and you told me that next time I see you You will be a Pastor. See I have brought my church here with me, they are all Converts from heathen religion". It was a joy to see how his congregation was just soaking in the presence of God.

              Margaret got a chance to meet her family, and I had a chance to meet my sisters and their families. What a joy.

              In Baroda, we had a get together with the Zion Church, no big meeting was organized, but somehow the people came to know about my coming, and rooftop church was packed with the people. The singing of the boys of the children's home was celestial. I literally felt angels sang with those kids. The way those kids worship the Lord is Awesome. It was also a joy to see that the Zion Church has grown. How badly they need a Church building. I had the privilege of visiting the land for the 'Home'. A beautiful 51/2 acre land, about 2 hours from the city of Baroda is in the final process, as soon as we get the final papers(most of the papers have already been acquired), we need to put up a fence and dig a Borewell, both of which will need about $3,000 each. The children's home and the School of Ministry will both be on the same property. Please do pray for this need. One night in the meeting, Pastor Anil Benjamin prophesied that tomorrow the Spirit of God will come down in an unprecedented manner. The next night all the boys got filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues, right after that all the University Students(who were doing their Msc final) suddenly burst out in tongues. What a night of deliverance it was.

                    From Baroda we came to Agra( my home town where I pastored for 11 years). The meetings were arranged by Pastor Mohit Morris. The spirit of the Lord came down in a mighty way, as I spoke all the 3 nights on the tears of Hanna, the Lord broke me down, I found myself asking my people to forgive me, for not being the ideal pastor I could have been. The spirit of Intercession came upon all those in attendance and people began to turn back to the Lord, for the loss of their first love for Him. Many of our workers have been toiling without any support. We met a young couple, both graduates from the Bible School, who had been thrown out of their family home, now had not eaten in 3 days, and the lady was in the 5th month of her pregnancy. Praise God we were able to help them and about 15 other workers in all, spent every last dollar on the mission field, and came back with great rejoicing that OUR REWARD IS FROM GOD. A jeep is right now being purchased in Agra for the work of the Lord.

                  Pastor Parel Singh is doing a great ministry in the Interiors of M.P., and U.P., States, facing many dangers at times for the Lord, but he is faithful with his family. He desperately needs a jeep that will cost him about $5,000.00 and the Church in Agra needs a building urgently.

                 We thank God from whom all blessings flow. We thank God that our trip was made possible by the United efforts of The Silver Street Church(England), the Gideon Christian Fellowship(my church) in New Orleans,La and Pastor Lloyd in Hammond and his congregation. We thank God for all who helped us in various ways, prayed for us, that the Lord gave us victory with our visas etc. We as a family wish to thank you that through your sacrificial giving, we were able to meet our families( Margaret saw her parents after 2 full years, and we reached there the day when 'Mom' was released from the Hospital, it meant so much to her).

                 My heart is burdened to reach India with a Radio Program. The nation needs an anointed broadcast. Please do pray about this need. Would you take that nation to your heart. Please do pray for us, as I leave today to do meetings in Golden Meadow,La., then later I have meetings in New Orleans, Chicago,Texas and other places some of which await confirmation.
