Praying for the 10/40 Window. Is It Closing?

                Dear Partner in the Great Harvest,

                Thank you so much for your overwhelming response in answer to my previous news letter after our trip to U.K., and India. Right now as I write this news letter, India has been thru so much that it is difficult to put in a few paragraphs. It all began with the torching of the Churches in South Gujarat. Some of the Pastors we have been associated with, have faced the brunt of this hate campaign. Christians, especially those in the rural and the tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh are being forced to leave their true faith and go back to pagan worship. Pastor Parel Singh and his associates have just been thru some of the most difficult times of their ministry. They are being persecuted continually, but they refuse to give up under the most severe attacks of Satan. He is winning thousands of souls in the areas of U.P., M.P., and other States. Pastor Parel Singh badly needs a Jeep for his Work, because it is no more safe for them to go on bicycles or even public transportation for the gospel Work. Please pray for the Church he has planted in Bilaspur along with Beam India Ministries. This is an urgent need and cannot be overlooked. It will cost about $5,000/- to buy him the vehicle. ‘Daughters of Zion' Ministries (a sister ministry of Beam India) under the auspices of Sister Sheeba George just finished doing a ladies seminar for the women in ministry in those rural areas, at Bilaspur(M.P). It drew about 300 pastors wives etc., and before the end of the meetings most of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and made a commitment to serve the Lord, no matter what attacks they might face from the powers of Darkness. Sister Sheeba is doing an awesome work in the slums of Bombay, reaching especially to the Women and the Children who live constantly under the shadow of death, steeped in poverty.

                 According to a recent fax We received from Pastor Anil Benjamin

1. 17 Churches with their Pastors just joined to Beam India from the South Gujarat/Maharashtra border area. They need Prayer and Support.

2. A house was just given for 5 years to use for starting a Bible School in Baroda.

3.The long awaited School of Ministry will begin, July'99 in India 4.Crusades were held in Nagpur, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Baroda Youth Crusade, Agra Winter Crusade with the Pastors from California, and Pastor Lloyd Blount's Pora Crusade which brought awesome results.
5. The Beam India land for Children's Home is now ready for Construction. There is an urgent need of putting a fence around the property and digging a borewell which will cost a minimum of $5,500 to $6,000 to cover the huge property.

6. The Church of Pastor M.D.Shira, in Shillong, has grown to 1,000 members, subdivided into 50 Cell Groups thru the Garo Hills. England: The churches of Pastors Ian Wight and Lex Thakur have experienced growth. Bro. Edward Ahmad, Norris Backhouse and Pastor Paul Booth and Bro. Gill move forward with the vision of Beam Int'l. There is a great revival fire in Gideon Christian Fellowship, prayer is rising unceasingly, under the able leadership of Pastor W.F.Wooten. It is such a joy to be able to work with such a ‘SENDING' Church.Those desiring crusades, may write to Pastor Wooten and he will send me to those cities.

Stephen's Meetings

                 From the time We sent you our previous news letter,these are the crusades had. Meetings were held in Dallas at the Students Meet, International Family Church. In Nov.,we had meetings in Bolivar and Springfield, M.O. In Tampa.

                 These were followed by meetings in Miami at IPC. In Jan., we were again at Leesville,La. In Feb.& March we saw the power of God in New York churches. In all these Crusades we saw the power of God in Action. Churches were revived, fire of God fell. Demons cast out of people and many added to the Church. April, May, June I have Crusades in Texas,Michigan,Arizona, N.Y.,and other States. There are still few openings, so please get in touch with us if you need Revival meetings in your area. In July we have a BIG crusade in South Bronx, NY. N.B: Dear Pastors we need you to stand by us for the "July Bronx Fire Crusade."

Judgements of God.Y2K?

                  There are a lot of fears with regards to the Y2K., most of which are actually genuine, it is hard to tell at this point the severity of the Y2K Bug but it would not hurt us to take precautions before the countdown actually hits 2000. Necessary food, water and emergency supplies would help. It would be advisable not to travel internationally on Jan.1.'00. It would also be good to get hardcopies of your important documents, records and past transactions at your Banks etc. God took man in his own craftiness when he tried to find a shortcut by programming 2 digits into the computer instead of preparing for the millenium. But what about the Rapture. We need to prepare our hearts for the Return of Jesus. We also need to reach the 10/40 Window nations, as a lot of them are closing to the gospel due to ethnic cleansing, religious fanatic groups in those nations.

1(a     $25.00 can support an orphan child for a month

1(b)   $60.00 can support a Native missionary(single)

2.       $100.00 can support a missionary family.

One Time Support

1.       $50.00 can buy a bicycle for a village missionary.

2.       $ 1,000.00 can buy a motorcycle.

3.       $2,000.00 can do a crusade in a town/village.

4.       $ 4,000.00 can do a Pastors Seminar/Crusade with at least 100 Pastors(it will also pay for their to and from train ticket from the various cities.

5.       $10.000.00 can build a Church in a B,C graded city( not in downtown area).  Please do pray for these needs.  We need you to stand by the great work which the Lord is doing in India.
