REPORT OF UK TRIP

It was a beautiful morning when our flight arrived at London Gatwick airport. Evangelist Ashok Masih Mattu was outside the immigration area to receive us. We were taken first to Oxford where his sister lived. Her mother was about to have a surgery to remove the cancerous parts of her organs. We prayed with her and the rest of her family. Then we drove to Wolverhampton where the entire Mattu family and members of the Asian Calvary Church welcomed us with great exuberance. It was like the reunion of long lost family members.

The meetings began at the St. John's Cathedral at the St. John Square at Wolverhampton. The theme of the entire series was "Ask anything in my name". The first night Brother George preached on "God said to Solomon "Ask anything", and how God blessed Solomon with wisdom. Every night miracles took place by the power of the Holy Spirit. The sick were healed, and demons cast out of them. Children, youth and adults were filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. People saw visions of heaven. One lady saw an angel stand beside Brother George as he ministered. For the Hindu converts turning to Christ means losing their families. If they are baptized they are cut off from their families and property (if they are part of joint family order). Six Hindu people were baptized in water.

One of these people was a man who was a chronic alcoholic for twenty years. His marriage had come close to divorce and his young children hated him. One night he came forward for prayer. As Brother George laid hands on him evil spirits came out of him. Instantly this wolf turned into a lamb. He received Jesus in his heart as his savior and was filled with the Holy Spirit. The following week he was baptized in water. Another young man, had been searching from one temple to another bound by drugs (which the temple priests were also addicted to). When he heard about the saving grace of Jesus, he received the Lord. Four days later as Brother Stephen George laid hands on him, this young man burst out speaking in tongues. His mother came forward for prayer and an evil spirit came out of her. The young people were so much on fire for God. They came to their dad (the pastor) and asked him to forgive his daughter (their sister, cousin and friend) who had left the house and was living by herself in another town two hours away. (She had disobeyed her grandparent's wish for her to marry a certain man) The young people reminded him of scriptures concerning forgiveness. That night after midnight they brought their sister home.

Revival broke out among the kids and the youth. The kids took a heap of Pokemon cards and wild wall posters and burned them in a fire. Weeping and sobbing, the youth turned back to God, receiving Jesus and repenting of their backslidden condition. One young man who lacked courage to come into the church building stood weeping outside. The moment Brother George stepped out of the church at the end of the service, he asked for prayer. When Brother George laid hands on him he fell down on the steps and wept. Later in the youth retreat, he shared a powerful testimony how God set him free from demonic oppression. Another young Hindu lady suddenly began to weep in the church van where we prayed since it was raining outside. She received the Lord Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Brother George spoke over the commercial radio station. Several Moslems called and asked for prayer. The CEO of the radio station allowed Brother George to send a one hour audio taped message each week which was broadcast to an audience of over 200,000 people in Bradford, Leeds, Bury, the outskirts of Rochdale (where we have our Beam International office) and four other places. 70% of these people are Moslems from Pakistan. What an opportunity to be able to bring the gospel of Jesus to a Moslem world and a lot of Hindus. It will cost us about $4,000 to be able to buy the equipment we need to start this radio broadcast within the States.

Meeting in Huddersfield: This is a town where many people have died untimely deaths. As Brother George preached the word, the glory of God began to rain upon people in the form of golden dust. Several healings took place that night. Many people including Sikhs received Jesus as their Savior. Meeting in Oxford: Oxford, the town, where great people like Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru did their university is a town full of Asians, both Indians and Pakistanis. Brother George preached in the church where Rev. Massey has been pastor for over 25 years. The Spirit of the Lord came down on an unusual way. As Brother George began to prophesy over people's conditions and needs, they were miraculously set free. They asked the organizer Brother Asok Mattu "How did Brother George know about our needs? This is the first time we have met him!" Meetings in Rochdale and Waterford were organized by their respective pastors, Rev. Ian Wight and Rev. Lek Thakur. In both churches, the Spirit of God moved powerfully. God gave prophetic words to several people bringing deliverance. In Silver Street Church, people began to weep and laugh and fall under the anointing. Many said later that they experienced deliverance. Brother and Sister Edward Ahmed took care of us. Brother Bill Hardiker dropped us off in Wolverhampton.

The Asian Calvary Church had their convention in Wolverhampton on a Saturday. There were probably close to a thousand people in the meeting. Brother George spoke about raising a Jesus generation. Several hundred people pledged to do so. Throughout the meetings we saw several hundred people receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Pastor Isaac Masih worked very hard for the UK ministry.

We wish to give special thanks to Pastor Wooten, Eric & Carol Tucker, and Gideon Christian Fellowship, pastor Ray Taranto and Praise Fellowship, Pastor Lloyd, Lydia Sapp, Sister Kathy Burnett, Sister Myra Rucker, Lupe Cortez, Sister Sharon, Sister Felicia, the Watts, Pastor Isaac Masih, Andy & Dr. & Mrs. Siestra, Pastor Logan, Sister Scynthia, Norissa Mavis, Pastor Ian Wight, Chandra's. Stephen George
